A Hospitality Data Analyst collects, processes, and interprets data to help hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality businesses make informed decisions. They analyze trends in bookings, guest satisfaction, revenue, and operational efficiency to identify opportunities for improvement. Using tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization software, they turn raw data into actionable insights that can enhance guest experiences and boost profitability. Their work supports management in strategic planning and helps drive business growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a hospitality data analyst?

Full-time

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

PROPERTY OPERATIONS ANALYST

Gulf Shores, AL | On-Site | Full-Time, Exempt | Hospitality Ops

Every great guest experience is backed by numbers that add up. A&R Group is looking for a detail-obsessed Property Operations Analyst to be the financial backbone of our Gulf Coast hotel properties — the person who catches the discrepancy before it becomes a problem, and who turns messy data into a clean, audit-ready story.

If spreadsheets feel like puzzles, audits feel like victories, and "close enough" has never been good enough for you — keep reading.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE

  • Coastal life, real career — work where others vacation, in Gulf Shores, AL, with year-round sun and a short drive to the water.
  • A seat at the table — partner directly with Operations, Accounting, Revenue, HR, and IT with visibility across the whole business.
  • Work that matters — your accuracy protects real revenue, real audits, and real brand standing across every property you touch.
  • Real growth — sharpen your expertise in hotel accounting, GL mapping, tax-exempt compliance, and multi-property reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You'll be the go-to resource keeping our properties financially accurate, audit-ready, and brand-compliant. On any given day, you might:

  • Audit daily reports and postings, catching discrepancies before they snowball.
  • Validate tax-exempt documentation and support Sales & Use Tax reconciliation.
  • Build airtight chargeback packets that defend revenue with hard evidence.
  • Keep PMS/M3 mapping clean and support system updates across properties.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting on GL mapping and month-end close.
  • Support franchise reporting, brand audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Step in as backup for hospitality payroll, keeping HRIS and Accounting in sync.
  • Coach property teams on audit, posting, and system best practices.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of hotel accounting, audit, or systems experience.
  • Working knowledge of PMS, M3, and OTA billing workflows.
  • An analytical mind that hunts down the discrepancy — and fixes it for good.
  • Rock-solid organization and a genuine love of getting the details right.
  • Comfort owning recurring deadlines in a fast-paced, month-end-driven environment.

BONUS POINTS FOR

  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, or similar brand systems.
  • Prior GL mapping or financial reconciliation experience.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting chops.
  • Multi-property hospitality background.

A DAY IN YOUR WORLD

Expect a mix of focused desk work and property walkthroughs — reviewing reports, chasing down mapping errors, coaching a property team through a posting fix, then closing the day knowing every number ties out. Standard business hours, with flexibility around month-end close, audits, and system updates.

Ready to bring your precision to paradise? Apply today and help us keep every property running like a well-oiled — and beautifully audited — machine.

A&R Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, genetic information, or military service.
