Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations in alignment with ARK Hospitality's mission, vision, and core values. This role is accountable for maximizing property performance while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, employee engagement, operational excellence, and financial success.

The General Manager serves as the leader of the property and is responsible for creating a culture focused on accountability, service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This position reports to the Regional Director of Operations / Director of Operations and requires a strong on-property leadership presence. The General Manager should understand that hospitality is a people business and that visible leadership is critical to success.



What You'll Be Responsible For
Property Leadership
  • Lead all hotel operations and departmental performance

Guest Experience

Financial Performance
  • Manage property budgets and financial performance

  • Maintain financial and statistical reporting requirements
Operations Management
  • Oversee daily hotel operations across all property departments

  • Support preventative maintenance programs and property upkeep
  • Monitor operational checklists and training requirements
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the property, especially during shift transitions
Community Engagement & Business Development
  • Represent the hotel within the local Bend community
  • Establish relationships with community organizations, local businesses, tourism partners, and event stakeholders
  • Support sales initiatives that increase occupancy and revenue
  • Promote the property's reputation and visibility within the marketplace


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Previous hotel management or hospitality leadership experience
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving operational performance
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze property performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining employees
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Choice Hotels, Marriott, Hilton, or branded hotel experience
