JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Delivery Driver-Require to drive your own Cargo / Sprinter Van

EMPLOYER: Mashin, Inc.

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: Dispatcher

DELIVERY DRIVER SUMMARY: Load, unloads, and deliver supplies and materials to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transport, sort, and stock materials. MUST USE your own CARGO VAN

DELIVERY DRIVER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loads vehicle for delivery.
  • The Delivery Driver will also be required to manually load and unload, verify that all parts are loaded and unloaded, collect payments from customers, obtain signatures from receiving locations confirming the accuracy of parts received, and deliver returned items back to the branch after each delivery.
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning the interior of the vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, and scheduling routine maintenance to keep the vehicle running properly.
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
  • Delivers goods to clients.
  • Interacts with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Collects required signatures for payment, and proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to the customer.
  • Returns all required documentation to the appropriate company official.
  • Observes no smoking in the delivery vehicle.
  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company officials.
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

DELIVERY DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be bilingual, in English, and Spanish.
  • Must own a reliable Sprinter / Cargo van, and be willing to use it for part delivery and daily routes.
  • Must pay for gas, maintenance, and vehicle insurance.
  • One to two years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.
