Job description

Position Title
Security DispatcherOlathe HospitalPosition Summary / Career Interest:The Security Dispatcher is responsible for receiving emergency calls from the public, employees, and security personnel and relaying messages to security personnel. Monitor security systems and dispatch security to incidents and alarms.
Note: 12 hour shifts, will rotate every other weekend

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Answer emergency and non-emergency calls from the public, employees, and security personnel.
  • Relay messages and dispatch personnel and equipment via radio communication.
  • Maintain clear and accurate communication with security teams and external agencies.
  • Monitor security systems, including video surveillance and access control systems.
  • Dispatch security personnel to respond to incidents and alarms.
  • Monitor security personnel's locations and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls, activities, and incidents.
  • Generate reports related to security operations.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to the public.
  • Address inquiries and concerns related to security.
  • Stay up-to-date on current security policies and procedures.
  • Work with the security team to ensure that all personnel are following protocols.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
