JOB SUMMARY
Secures quality food and supplies from authorized and approved vendors. Maintains proper storage, stock rotation and security measures while complying with stringent HACCP, regulatory and departmental requirements. Validates purchase orders and the accuracy of delivery invoices such as items received, quality specified, quantity ordered and price extensions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains adequate levels of food and supplies for delivery and/or pickup and rotates inventory to avoid contamination according to FIFO procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and uncluttered work area through orderly storage of supplies according to HACCP and regulatory guidelines to protect colleagues and hospital assets.
  • Orders, receives, stores, delivers and documents food items and supplies in accordance with departmental policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of supplies received and delivered.
  • Inspects all goods received to ensure required safety standards are adhered to. Escalates any safety concerns immediately to Food and Nutrition leadership.
  • Attends and actively participates in all departmental meetings and in-services to promote continuous quality improvement for self and the department.
  • Perform other related duties as required
