Job description

JOB LOCATION: Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - Operating Room
JOB SHIFT: Full Time (11 am - 11 pm)

POSITION PURPOSE

A clinically competent, registered nurse who demonstrates expertise in the perioperative field. Effectively delivers perioperative care to the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes:

  • Past perioperative experience is preferred. Nurses who do not meet this requirement must complete a surgical competency-based orientation program successfully.
  • Pharmacology, aseptic technique, teaching skills, documentation

Licenses/Certificates:

  • Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS certification, must be completed prior to end of orientation period
