Job Summary:
HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking an orthopedic surgery PA with first assist interests or experience to assist a busy, employed Orthopedic surgeon in southeast Houston, TX. Position is open to new grad PA's interested in orthopedic surgery.
Qualified candidates:
  • The surgeon will train a new grad or will welcome a PA with orthopedic surgery experience.
  • Certification as a PA
  • Ability to obtain or maintain an active Texas medical license
  • New grad PA's will be considered - but must have strong orthopedic experience or passion for orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities:
  • Run independent clinic alongside Attending Orthopedic Surgeon
  • Evaluate independent Orthopedic Consults in Emergency Department and on Floor at two facilities
  • Assist in the Operating Room with procedures, positioning, and closure
  • Assist in clinical setting with patient issues and prescriptions
  • Exposure to teaching and sport coverage opportunities if desired
