Schedule
Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights
Assignment Details
Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
Census: 36 private rooms / 36 beds
Orientation: 16 hours
Requirements
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Active nursing license (State or Compact)
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Skills in cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience in post-cardiac surgery care
- Management of non-invasive airway support (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Blood product administration, IV starts/maintenance
- Experience with vasoactive drips management
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs, identifying any significant changes
- Provide comprehensive care for post-cardiac surgery and post-intervention recovery patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on care procedures and health management
Compliance / Notes
- State or Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submittal
- All requested time off (RTO) must be listed at time of submittal
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Orientation/modules average 4-6 hours onsite (non-billable)
