TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Canton, Ohio.

We're looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) for an immediate travel opening in an LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) facility in Canton, OH.
The right RN should have at least 1 year of recent experience in a Long-Term Acute Care or similar high acuity setting. Read below for more requirements.

As an RN in LTAC, you will care for patients with serious medical conditions who require extended hospital-level care. These patients often have complex needs such as ventilator support, wound care, or post-ICU recovery. You will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, monitoring patients' conditions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

As an RN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

  • Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Administer IV medications, manage central lines, and monitor vital signs and lab results
  • Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, as well as advanced wound management
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers for ongoing treatment plans
  • Support patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs
  • Supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensuring proper patient care delivery
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols and facility safety standards
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate patient status updates
  • Document all care activities and interventions accurately and in real time
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning

The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an RN in a Long-Term Acute Care setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.

RNs in LTAC should be adaptable, highly skilled in critical care practices, and passionate about supporting patients through complex and prolonged recovery.
