Summary: Come jointhe Corvallis Clinic's Allergy team!

This full-time role will work closely withDr. Roland Solensky, a nationally recognized expert in drug allergy, as well astwo other RNs. The Allergyteam provides care for patients of all ages at locations in Corvallis andAlbany. The incumbent will be trained to perform allergy skin testing,administer allergen immunotherapy (injections), prepare/mix allergy extract,and help with food and drug challenges; and is accountable for utilizing thenursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct, and indirect patientcare, while practicing within the scope of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.ย

Compensation: $40.00 - $53.00 per hour
Principal Responsibilities:ย 

1. Will participate and maintain a culture withinThe Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in theService and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, andembrace the principles contained within.

2. Provides nursing care according to thesequential steps of the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation,and evaluation.

3. Directs patient flow and prepare patients forexams.

4. Facilitates collection of all necessaryinformation required for patient visits. Accurately records pertinent information in the Electronic MedicalRecord and ensures necessary patient care documentation is processed in atimely manner.

5. Accurately triage patient phone calls andensure that callbacks and prescription refills are completed in a timelyfashion consistent with provider guidelines, scope of practice, and clinicguidelines. Documents pertinent information accurately.

6. Assists providers with procedures as directedand maintain asepsis. Perform invasiveprocedures for which the RN has the training and skills.

7. Proactively monitor physician schedules foraccuracy.

8. Improves the quality of care throughcontinuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care. This includes attendance/participation inmost in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/departmentpolicies and procedures.

9. Actively participates in the cleaning ofshared work areas, keeping exam rooms clean, neat and stocked.

10. Participates in the orientation and trainingof new employees.


Education, Licensure and Experience:

1. Graduateof an accredited school of registered nursing required.

2. Currentunencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered Nurse required.

3. One (1) or more years of experience in anacute care hospital and/or in an individual provider's office or clinic settingpreferred.

4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationor ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.


Knowledge and Skills:

1. Evidence of working knowledge of the nursingprocess.

2. Knowledge of basic clinical skills to providepatient care.

3. Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff,and patients.

4. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyin a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work.
