POSITION SUMMARY

  • Reports To:

  • Director of Radiology

  • Summary:

  • Performs front desk duties in a multidisciplined radiology department, such as scheduling procedures, greeting patients, answering phones, verifying and inputting orders.

  • Work Schedule:

  • Must be able to work non-standard hours, sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Education

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Experience

  • Six months to one year related experience required and experience in a Radiology department preferred. Experience with work flow, ordering, patient experience is also preferred.

  • Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

  • Certificates & Licenses

  • Other Requirements

  • Working knowledge of CPSI, Carestream RIS and PACS preferred. This position requires constant standing, walking, pushing and pulling 0โ€“100 lbs, as well as, frequent use of hands and fingers and lifting and carrying 0 to over 100 pounds.

  • ???????Essential Functions

  • Greets patients, using hospital AIDET skills.

  • Restock supplies and undertake department cleaning duties using proper safety procedures as applicable.

  • Enter radiology orders into the CPSI system in a timely manner.

  • Schedule procedures/exams as needed, most beneficial to patient and department staffing.

  • Answer phones politely with a scripted greeting.

  • Coordinate with the doctor's office and their staff to accommodate needs.

  • Verify all orders with the test schedule on a daily basis.
