Job Title: Hospital Driver
Department: Lab Couriers
Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor
Hours: Full time 4pm-12am or part time 2-10pm
What you will do:
  • Drives hospital vehicle on daily scheduled and unscheduled trips to and from out-patient laboratory facilities, physician's offices, etc. to pickup and deliver laboratory specimens, reports, and supplies.
  • Completes deliveries thoroughly and efficiently by using available specimen handling and other procedures, schedules, checklist, and client specific instructions. Contacts Manager if delivery or pickup is not completed.
  • Assigns priorities in the event of multiple requests. Reports any problems to a Manager or Section Leader for timely resolution.
  • Completes pickup and delivery for other hospital departments such as Materials Management (interdepartmental mail), Radiology (films), Cardiology (holter monitor readings) and Urgent Care (cash). May be asked to transport medical waste.
  • Answers client questions and accommodates requests, where possible, or refers question or request to Manager, Section Leader, or Client Representative.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License.
  • No previous experience is required
  • Requires basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic
