Description:
Position is in the Operating Room.
Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required for travelers from November 1 to April 1.
Role involves working in a fast-paced environment with direct patient care activities for all age groups.
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
Perform duties in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and service standards.
Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required.
Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of responsibility.
Working conditions require standing and walking most of the time on duty.
Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs as needed.
Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, and pinching up to 15 lbs.
Kneeling, crouching, and crawling are required minimally.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated self-starter.
