Description

The Accountant will assist in preparation of hospital and departmental financial statements, spreadsheets and budgets. The Accountant will monitor financial data, trends and indicators, maintain records, and assist with financial projects. Accumulates facts and information in specific accounting areas and summaries in proper form. Analyzes financial data for discrepancies or errors; reconciles data. Involved in annual budget preparation and variance analyses throughout the year. Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.

This opportunity is full time Monday-Friday, on the premises.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  2. Analyzes and reconciles Balance Sheet accounts
  3. Assists with Audit and any special projects
  4. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  5. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  6. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information and preparing reports
  7. Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  8. Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  9. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  10. Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  11. Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  12. Assists A/P when needed.
  13. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  14. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  15. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
