Job description

Trustbridge Hospice a member of Empath is seeking a dependable and customer service-oriented DME Driver/PT Service Technician to join our team in Deerfield Beach.
This full-time position works Wednesday - Saturday, 11am - 9:30pm.
Since 1978, Trustbridge Hospice has cared for more than 200,000 South Florida families. As a community-based nonprofit, we provide 24/7 hospice and palliative care, along with caregiver support and bereavement services for families facing serious illness.
What You'll Do
  • Provides pick-up and delivery services for all DME and oxygen equipment to patients and families.
  • Instructs clients as to the proper use of equipment.
  • Responsible for the final inspection of equipment prior to delivery.
  • Completes home safety assessment relating to patients environment for safety purposes.
  • Maintains quality compliance and adheres to all infection control practices and policies.
  • This position involves direct contact with patients and families so must communicate effectively and provide a high level of customer service.

What You'll Need
  • Requires 1-3 years working experience, preferably in a courier/delivery setting.
  • Must have good personal hygiene and be neat in appearance.
  • Requires valid Florida driver's license, a good driving record, and adequate insurance coverage.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of the Palm Beach County road systems.
  • Works well under stress and can effectively handle multiple activities at once.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
