POSITION SUMMARY:

Theย Manager, Creativeย Operationsย is responsible forย building andย optimizingย the operating system that powers the Creative Studio. This role owns the processes, workflows, prioritization, systems, and operational excellence that enable the creative team to consistently deliver high-quality work on timeย and at scale.ย 

Serving as the operational hub between Marketing, Product, Sales,ย Digital, Packaging, and Creative, this individual ensures projects are properly scoped, prioritized, resourced, and executed while continuously improving the way work moves through the organization.ย 

Success in this role means creating greater visibility, accountability, and predictability across the creative process, allowing designers and creatives to spend less time managing projects and more time creating exceptionalย work.ย 

Essential Job Function:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

Creative Intakeย and Brief Excellenceย 

  • Own the front door of the Creative Studio by ensuring every project enters the workflow with the clarity needed for successful execution.ย 
  • Own the end-to-end creative intake process across all brands andย channels.ย ย 
  • Partner with project stakeholders to gather missing information, clarifyย objectives, define deliverables, and ensure briefs are complete before entering the creative queue.ย ย 
  • Improve briefing quality to minimize revisions, reduce rework, andย eliminateย unnecessary back-and-forth between stakeholders and designers.ย ย 
  • Ensureย every project is aligned to businessย objectives, timelines, and launch priorities before work begins.ย 

Creative Workflow & Prioritizationย 

  • Own the day-to-day flow of work across the Creative Studio.ย 
  • Manage the creative project portfolio from intake through final delivery.ย ย 
  • Balance workload across designers, creative resources, freelancers, and agencies, where applicable,ย to maximize efficiency andย utilization.ย ย 
  • Continuously evaluate priorities and proactively adjust project sequencing based on evolving business needs.ย ย 
  • Own the governance of the Creative "Fast Lane" process, evaluating urgent requests and balancing business impact against existing commitments.ย ย 
  • Clearly communicate project priorities, resource constraints, and delivery expectations to stakeholders.ย 

Creative Operations and Systemsย 

  • Build scalable systems that improve visibility and operational excellence.ย 
  • Serve as the business owner and administrator for Monday.com and future creative workflow platforms.ย ย 
  • Develop dashboards, workflows, automations, reporting, and resource management tools that improve transparency and efficiency.ย ย 
  • Establish andย maintainย standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and project governance standards.ย ย 
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to streamline workflows through automation and process improvement.ย 

Delivery Excellenceย 

  • Drive predictable, on-time execution across all creative initiatives.ย 
  • Develop project plans, milestones, and work-back schedules that support seasonal campaigns, product launches, retail initiatives, and marketing activations.ย ย 
  • Monitor project health, proactivelyย identifyย delivery risks, and remove blockers before theyย impactย timelines.ย ย 
  • Ensure creative deliverables are completed on time and in full (OTIF) whileย maintainingย quality standards.ย ย 
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.ย 

Cross-Functional Partnershipย 

  • Act as the operational bridge between Creative and the broader organization.ย 
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Sales,ย Digital, Packaging, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and external partners to align project priorities and timelines.ย ย 
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions, status reviews, and launch readiness meetings.ย ย 
  • Establish clear ownership, accountability, and communication throughout the creative process.ย ย 
  • Improve stakeholder experience by creating transparency around project status, timelines, priorities, and resource availability.ย 

Process Improvement & Technologyย 

  • Continuously evolve the Creative Studio into a more efficient, scalable organization.ย 
  • Analyze workflow performance andย identifyย opportunities to improve speed, efficiency, and collaboration.ย ย 
  • Develop reporting and KPIs that measure operational health and creative effectiveness.ย ย 
  • Championย a culture of continuous improvement by simplifying processes, reducing bottlenecks, and improving team productivity.ย ย 
  • Partner with Creative leadership to evolve operating models, workflows, and resource planning as business needsย change.ย 

Other Functions:

Team Leadershipย 

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to creative team members and project coordinators.ย 
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and customer-focused work environment.ย 
  • Manage resource allocation and team capacity planning across creative projects.ย ย 
  • Promote accountability and adherence to project management standards.ย 

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 5-7 years of experience in creative operations, marketing operations, project management, brand management, or related roles.ย 
  • Experience supporting creative teams in a fast-paced consumerย products, retail, agency, or manufacturing environment.ย 
  • Demonstrated success building workflows, operational processes, and project governance.ย 
  • Experience with project management software (Monday.com strongly preferred).ย 
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing changing businessย needs.ย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย ย ย ย ย 

  • Experience supportingย consumerย packaged goods (CPG) brandsย and product launch processes.ย 
  • Knowledge of print production, packaging artwork management, and retail marketing materials.ย 
  • Knowledge of omnichannel marketing asset development, including retail, eCommerce, digital, social media, and packaging execution.ย 
  • Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.ย 
  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, or related project management certification.ย 

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Project Management, or related field.ย
