JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic and technically minded Senior Director of Product Compliance to lead the organization's product compliance strategy across its portfolio of regulated Historical Horse Racing (HHR) gaming systems. Reporting directly to the President, this role serves as the primary liaison between Exacta, gaming regulators, independent testing laboratories, and internal teams to ensure products consistently meet regulatory standards, drive successful certifications, support market expansion, and translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business and technical solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Exacta's enterprise Product Compliance program, ensuring products and software releases meet all applicable regulatory and technical requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with state gaming regulators, racing commissions, independent testing laboratories, and other regulatory authorities throughout certification, approval, audit, and compliance processes.
  • Interpret gaming regulations and translate regulatory requirements into clear technical and business requirements, partnering with Product Management and Engineering to incorporate compliance into product planning, development, and release activities.
  • Oversee software certification and regulatory approval efforts, including submission strategies, documentation, testing coordination, regulator communications, issue resolution, and certification timelines.
  • Advise executive leadership on regulatory risk, emerging legislation, jurisdictional changes, and compliance strategies that support business objectives and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Field Services, Legal, and other cross functional teams to ensure compliance is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in product planning, architecture reviews, release planning, governance meetings, and design reviews to proactively identify and address regulatory considerations.
  • Develop and maintain compliance documentation, governance standards, internal controls, reporting, and scalable processes that support operational excellence and organizational growth.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, conduct compliance reviews, support audits and regulatory inquiries, and drive continuous improvement of compliance programs and processes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Regulatory Affairs, or related field, required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, product management, technical compliance, or gaming technology.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience leading strategic initiatives or cross-functional teams.
  • Direct experience working with U.S. gaming regulators and independent testing laboratories.
  • Knowledge of regulated gaming technologies including HHR, pari-mutuel wagering, casino gaming, iGaming, sports wagering, lottery systems, or similar regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and modern architectures.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain all gaming licenses required by applicable jurisdictions.
  • Periodic travel to customer locations, regulatory agencies, and industry conferences required.
