Reports to: Mutuels/Simulcasting Manager / Mutuel RepresentativePrimary Purpose: Accept wagers and pay winning tickets. Primary source for wagering information.

Responsibilities:

  • Take wagers from customers, answer basic betting questions and pay winning tickets.
  • Receive daily cash bankroll and verify; prepare cash for 'skim'; close out cash bankroll and give money to Mutuel Representative.
  • Obtain needed cash for completion of customer transaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification: High School DiplomaWork Experience: Money handling experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Strong customer service skills.Skills:

  • Successful completion of six-hour mutuel training school in which operation of the wagering terminal is taught.
  • Must pass a qualifying test which gauges knowledge of horse racing and wagering formats.
