For over 45 years, Sylvan has been the leading provider of supplemental education to students in K-12th grade. Now more than ever, our local students need quality educational support! Sylvan of Bend and NWX offer programs in math, reading, writing, homework help, study skills, SAT/ACT/SSAT/ISEE Prep, speed reading, study skills, high school courses for credit, STEM, and more! Want to work in an engaging educational environment and make a significant impact on the students in our community? Sylvan of Bend and NWX is looking for additional teachers and academic coaches to join our team to help meet the growing demand of Central Oregon students. You will work individually or in small groups to help students achieve academic success!

As a Sylvan Teacher, you will:

-Teach, motivate, and encourage students during instructional hour on Sylvan curriculum (paid training provided)

-Develop rapport with students to establish an engaging and safe learning environment that boosts confidence

-Use technology to enhance the learning environment

-Record daily student lessons and communicate regularly with admin staff

Requirements:

-Passionate about helping students succeed.

-Prior experience working with students.

-Available 1-3 days per week for a 2-4 hours shift between 1-7pm on Monday-Thursday (additional hours available for qualified candidate)

-Be available to work in-person at our offices.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on student grade and subject levels you are comfortable working with.
