Job description

Administrative Assistant

Location: In-person at ShutterShop (Florida)

Schedule: Full-time or part-time — we'll work with the right candidate

Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

ShutterShop is looking for a friendly, organized Administrative Assistant to be the welcoming face and

voice of our business. If you love staying organized, enjoy helping customers, and have a creative side

for social media and content, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on role in a small-business environment, so you'll wear a few hats — front desk one

minute, putting together a Facebook post the next. No two days look exactly the same.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers in person, answer phone calls, and respond to email inquiries in a warm,

professional way

• Schedule appointments, consultations, and installations on our team calendar

• Prepare quotes, invoices, and customer paperwork

• Keep digital and paper filing systems neat and easy to find

• Process incoming orders and follow up with customers on order status

• Manage and grow our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, and others) — posting

regularly, engaging with followers, and responding to messages and reviews

• Create simple content that shows off our work — take photos and short videos of completed

projects, write captions, and put together posts that highlight customer projects, behind-the-

scenes moments, and seasonal promotions

• Support the owner and team with general office tasks, errands, and special projects as needed

What We're Looking For

• Strong Microsoft Office skills — Word, Excel, and Outlook at a minimum; comfortable picking up

new software quickly

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience creating content for social media — whether for a previous job, a side hustle, your own

brand, or just being the person who runs the family accounts. Comfortable using a smartphone to

take quality photos and videos and using basic editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Instagram/Facebook

built-in tools, etc.)

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Self-starter who can manage their own to-do list and prioritize without being micromanaged

• Friendly, professional demeanor — you'll be the first point of contact for our customers

• Reliable and punctual

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college a plus, but not required)

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Previous experience in a small business, contracting, or home-services environment

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software

• Photography or video-editing experience
