Home Support Aides are professionals who assist individuals, often elderly or disabled, with daily living activities in their homes. Their duties can include helping with personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and sometimes medication reminders. Home Support Aides play a key role in helping clients maintain independence and comfort within their own homes. Job description

In-Home Support Aide — Ashburn, VA (Split Shift)

We're hiring a dependable in-home support aide for a young woman with cerebral palsy who lives independently in her own apartment in Ashburn. She's active, social, and does her own personal care — she needs a supportive partner for daily tasks, not someone to take over.
Schedule: Split shift — TBD
Pay: $20-23/hour
Setting: Private apartment; family is closely involved and frequently present
What you'll support:

  • Daily walks and basic care for two small dogs
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Grocery shopping and errands
  • Transportation to and from appointments (client's vehicle is available)
  • Light household organization related to daily routines
What she does independently:

  • All personal hygiene and self-care
Requirements:

  • Must genuinely enjoy dogs — this is a daily, non-negotiable part of the role
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must carry current personal auto insurance that covers you while driving for work purposes, including operating a client's vehicle. Proof of coverage required before start date and at each renewal.
  • Reliable transportation to and from Ashburn for both shift blocks
  • Able to pass a background check and TB screening
  • Respectful, patient, and comfortable working alongside an engaged family
  • Prior experience supporting adults with disabilities preferred; will train the right person
What we're looking for: Someone who follows her lead, encourages her independence, and shows up consistently — same person, same schedule, every week.
To apply, send your resume and availability to hr@guardianresidentials.org or call 571-359-3490.
