Job description

We are seeking a Manager of Adoption Accelerator to join our team.
Starting Salary: $56,000 - $60,000 (Salary)
We are seeking a Manager of Adoption Accelerator to join our team. Your role will be responsible for the process of adoption from parental rights termination to permanency. You will have strong skills in communication, internal and external organizational collaboration, and inspirational leadership to assist families in carefully and expeditiously completing the requirements to finalize the adoption of children. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with other team members and report to our Director of Permanency Services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Review, approve, and sign outgoing documents generated by the Adoption Accelerators including social histories, Best Interest Staffing (BIS) documentation, adoption home studies, etc.
  • Monitoring the team's tracking of key Adoption documents and dates (i.e., birth certificates, birth records, best interest staffing, Adoption applications, etc.).
  • Attend PS-TDM's, court hearings, best interest staffing's, etc. with staff as needed.
  • Complete background checks (i.e. KBI, CANIS, etc.).
  • Assign adoption home studies internally and externally.
  • Ensure quality completion of adoption home studies written internally, by contracting agencies, partnering Child Placing Agencies, and sign off on billing/invoices.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Our ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of experience in child and family services and the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or other human services related field is required.
  • Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas is required.
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening
  • A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
