Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform residential remodeling and carpentry work including framing, trim, finish carpentry, and installations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project plans.
  • Install and repair drywall, cabinetry, doors, windows, flooring, trim, and other finish materials.
  • Perform demolition and site preparation for remodeling projects.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Identify and troubleshoot construction issues and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards, building codes, and company expectations.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Assist in training and mentoring apprentices or less experienced team members as needed.
  • Minimum 5+ years of residential remodeling and carpentry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, remodeling processes, and finish carpentry techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Experience with kitchen, bathroom, basement, and whole-home renovations preferred.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Preferred:

  • Experience with multiple trades such as drywall, painting, tile work, flooring, or light plumbing/electrical work.
  • OSHA certification or other construction safety certifications.
  • Experience supervising or leading projects.
