Job description

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is seeking Educational Therapists or SPED certified teachers who have experience with either Math or ELA intervention. Candidates should be versed in EF, study skill development, and either Math or ELA subjects for assignments with student in Grades 8-12.

Level: Experienced

Location: US ET and PT

Position: Special Education Tutor

Classification: Contract (1099)

The Position:

• Provide thoughtful and patient education coaching combined with Math or Literacy tutoring

• Use our assessments to create dynamic study plans for students classified as "neurodivergent."

• Tutoring sessions take place at our learning center, at the client's home, or at a neutral location such as a library

• Tutoring sessions generally last 60 minutes

• Assessments are provided but your supplemental curricula may also be used in concert with our resources

Requirements

• 3-12 hours per week of availability

• An earned Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred)

• Knowledge of and demonstrable experience with EF based learning, SPED, or ASD. SPED certification preferred

• Subject matter and lesson planning expertise

• Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background and >3 years of experience as a teacher or interventionist

Benefits
