What is a home insurance inspection?

A home insurance inspection is an assessment conducted by an insurance company to evaluate the condition, safety, and risk factors of a residential property before issuing or renewing a homeowner's insurance policy. Inspectors typically look at the structure, roof, electrical systems, plumbing, and potential hazards to ensure the property meets the insurer’s standards. The results help determine the coverage options, premium costs, and any required repairs or improvements. This process protects both the homeowner and the insurer from unexpected losses or liabilities.

Experience, certifications, and geographic location influence salary levels in this field.
