Job Description: Journeyman Plumber

Classification: Non-exempt, Regular, “At Will” Work Status

Reports To: Installation Manager

Status: Full-time

Re-Bath is a fast-growing bathroom remodeling company. We need a Plumber with excellent communication skills, experience, attention to detail, and savvy to handle bathroom plumbing tasks including rough-ins, trim outs, customer service, jobsite management, among others.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be able to work in a jobsite setting, be self-motivated with a high urgency to help others, communicate well, and be highly organized. We are looking for an individual who isn’t afraid to work really hard with minimal direction and to take initiative to improve processes. Residential plumbing experience is required. The right individual will play a key part in the expansion of this company and will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS (Essential Functions)
· Be a responsible and friendly point of contact for customers

· Install plumbing fixtures and supply/drain/vent pipes

· Become an expert and train others on our products and installation techniques

· Troubleshoot and communicate any changes to labor or materials needs

· Maintain and operate company tools and vehicles in a safe manner

· Keep jobsites and materials clean, safe, and damage-free

· Complete all required documentation completely and accurately

· Ensure customer satisfaction and generate positive reviews

Must Have

· Reliable transportation to get to and from the office

· Cell phone with data plan

· Ability to pass a DOT medical exam

· Ability to work independently and within a team

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain a high level of customer service, perception, and satisfaction

· Participate in periodic training events

· Help maintain inventory of needed supplies and materials

· Review upcoming jobs and provide feedback to Project Manager & Production Coordinator

· Ensure compliance with Home Depot/Lowe’s/State/County/City regulations

· Assist and train others on permitting and inspection processes

· Implement and maintain a plumbing apprenticeship program with at least one employee enrolled in the program


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· Have and maintain current Oregon Journeyman Plumbing license

· Basic knowledge of how a jobsite runs

· 5 years residential plumbing experience

· 3 years residential remodeling experience

· Solid experience delivering customer service

· 5 years plumbing experience

· High School Diploma or GED


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· Have and maintain current Washington State PL02 or PL01 Certification

· Be Re-Bath's Plumber of Record in Washington State

· Experience training apprentices

· Experience coordinating with multiple trades on a jobsite

· Basic computer knowledge and typing ability


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting 10%
  • Standing/walking 90%
  • Moderate noise levels from jobsite equipment.
  • Minimum lifting requirements of 50 pounds
  • Frequent client and jobsite personnel interaction; heavily dependent on excellent customer interaction.
  • Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
