Are you the right fit?
We are looking for a diligent Home Improvement Project Estimator and Technician to prepare accurate estimates for handyman & general contracting projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics while building relationships with clients, the community, and partners. Your will provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support profitable business decisions. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset. You must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with key persons. The goal is to provide detailed reports so the company can make informed decisions that will enhance its profitability and growth. You will also perform high-quality home maintenance and repair projects from time to time as part of a high-performing team.
Home Improvement Project Estimator Responsibilities include but not limited to:
โ€ข Understand the project/program and its requirements
โ€ข Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
โ€ข Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues
โ€ข Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
โ€ข Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
โ€ข Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
โ€ข Perform risk analysis
โ€ข Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions, etc.)
โ€ข Build relationships with clients, technicians, key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.)
โ€ข Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, etc.)
Home Improvement Project Estimator Requirements
โ€ข Proven experience as a construction/trades estimator or similar position
