Job description

Overview

Adoration Home Health is currently seeking a full-time Education Specialist to support our Home Health team across the country.  This is a remote role. The Education Coordinator will have prior experience in Home Health or Hospice and will provide training and education of clinical leadership and staff. 


Responsibilities

·       Along with subject matter experts, develops on-boarding classes and simulation lab scenarios for new hires based on identified business and clinical needs.

·       Provides educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within established, evidence-based clinical protocols and ensures clinician qualification and competency to provide care

·       Assists with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care.

·       Collaborates with medical providers, patient care staff, and Home health management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.

·       Assists with clinical skills development programs within the parameters of established clinical and preceptorship models; monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.

·       Educates staff on specialized patient care within nursing protocols Develops patient care plans, incorporating evidenced-based research and national standards; consults with and serves as a clinical resource for unit management to ensure quality patient care.

·       Educates technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff.

·       Ensures proper protocols in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies Along with other educators/facilitators, provides classroom, virtual and self-study as well as simulation labs for new hires and for staff clinicians as indicated.

·       Evaluates efficacy of the formal classes and simulation classes to ensure they meet goals and drive results. Determines with preceptors, HH Leaders, and branch leadership additional training needs of new hires and existing staff.

·       Collaborates with branch leadership in assessing, implementing, and evaluating clinician, new hire, and preceptor progress toward goals. Facilitates quarterly preceptor forums for continued preceptor feedback, to provide mentoring and preceptor education.

·       Identifies concerns with new hires and staff clinicians; communicates these to Home Health Leadership, Lead preceptor, and branch leadership.


Qualifications

·       5 years experience in utilization of healthcare EMR/HER

·       2 years experience in information technology

·       Experience in Current company EMR preferred
