Job Summary: The Retail Sales Analyst supports Makita’s Home Depot retail store and e-commerce business, with primary responsibility for analyzing store sales performance, monitoring sell-through trends, supporting account activity, and assisting with monthly order forecasting. This role uses analytical tools provided by Makita and The Home Depot to identify opportunities, support decision-making, and help National Account Managers maintain strong customer execution. The position requires frequent collaboration with Home Depot partners, internal account teams, and cross-functional Makita departments to support Makita’s “Best-In-Class Engineering & Innovation” brand position and extensive product offering.

  • Prepare and distribute weekly and year-to-date point-of-sale reporting for the Home Depot team, including updates to standard weekly reporting spreadsheets used by Home Depot National Account Managers.
  • Monitor product sell-through for Home Depot events, special programs, and Makita planning assortments.
  • Track daily Home Depot store purchases and provide weekly summaries and analytics related to complete shipments, short shipments, and potential lost sales.
  • Support promotion execution by maintaining promotional spreadsheets, presentation decks, Smartsheet trackers, and related planning materials.
  • Participate in scheduled customer conference calls with Home Depot merchants and National Account Managers, as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with Home Depot partners to support category-level performance, inventory alignment, and account relationship management.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical and administrative support to Home Depot National Account Managers.
  • Attend weekly Home Depot National Account meetings and guide new product setup, SKU maintenance, and upcoming or active promotions.
  • Participate in quarterly product training sessions in Flowery Branch, GA.

Travel: 10% - 20% of travel may be required for meetings, training seminars, trade shows, and end-user presentations.

Education and/or Experience Desired:
