Job Overview

Building Technologies, part of DuPont, includes the Corian Design and Performance Building Solutions businesses. It delivers interior and exterior building solutions that improve performance and appearance through brands such as Great Stuff, Great Stuff Pro, Froth-Pak, Styrofoam, Tyvek, and Corian Design.

The National Account Manager, The Home Depot is responsible for managing and growing DuPont's Home Improvement business with The Home Depot across the United States. This role owns the strategic account relationship, delivers sales and margin growth, and ensures strong execution across promotions, merchandising, inventory planning, forecasting, and customer programs.

The role partners closely with The Home Depot merchants, inventory and replenishment teams, merchandising leaders, and eCommerce contacts to identify growth opportunities, improve in-store and online execution, and support a best-in-class customer experience. Internally, the NAM works across Sales, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, and Legal to align account plans, resolve issues, and execute programs that support profitable growth.

Location: Midland, MI or Wilmington, DE preferred; remote candidates will also be considered.

Travel: up to 40%

Key Responsibilities

  • Owns and grows the national account relationship with The Home Depot in the U.S., serving as the primary commercial lead for assigned Home Improvement categories

  • Meets or exceeds sales, volume, revenue, and margin goals while identifying new growth opportunities across stores, online, and Pro-focused initiatives

  • Builds strong relationships with The Home Depot merchandising, inventory, replenishment, eCommerce, and field teams to support account priorities and improve execution

  • Leads demand planning, forecasting, and inventory alignment with internal teams to support service levels, seasonal needs, promotional events, and product availability

  • Develops and executes annual and long-range account plans focused on profitable growth, category expansion, merchandising improvements, and share gains within The Home Depot

  • Plans and manages promotional programs, line reviews, annual planning meetings, partnership discussions, store walks, and related business analytics

  • Partners with Marketing, Product Management, and Category teams to develop merchandising strategies, launch plans, assortment recommendations, and value propositions that support Home Depot growth priorities

  • Works cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Legal to manage execution, resolve customer issues, support contract and program requirements, and deliver account commitments

  • Analyzes point-of-sale, inventory, market, promotional, and competitive data to identify risks, opportunities, and actions that improve performance

  • Tracks competitive activity, category trends, customer feedback, and merchandising execution, and shares insights with internal stakeholders to inform strategy

  • Supports development and execution of the five-year growth strategy for The Home Depot account, including new item opportunities, merchandising enhancements, promotional effectiveness, and operational improvements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • At least four years of strategic sales, national account, category, or retail customer management experience

  • Experience using retail reporting, point-of-sale, inventory, forecasting, and promotional analytics to drive business decisions

  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Preferred:

  • Experience working directly with The Home Depot, a major home improvement retailer, or a large strategic retail customer

  • Experience in construction, hardware, building materials, or home improvement retail categories

  • Strong customer relationship, negotiation, communication, and executive presence skills

  • High accountability, commercial curiosity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive execution without direct authority
