Job Purpose:
A Home Décor Team Member is responsible for delivering an exceptional shopping experience while bringing creativity and inspiration to life throughout the store. This role focuses on designing and maintaining visually compelling displays, creating custom arrangements, and supporting seasonal décor transitions including Spring, Summer, Fall, and Christmas. The position ensures an inviting, beautifully styled environment that inspires customers and drives sales.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure customers are the #1 priority.
• Assist customers with selecting home décor items and provide creative ideas and styling suggestions.
• Help customers envision how décor pieces, florals, and seasonal items can enhance their spaces.

Creative Design & Visual Presentation:
• Create, maintain, and refresh visually compelling displays throughout the store.
• Design custom arrangements using florals, containers, and décor elements.
• Execute seasonal transitions and displays for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Christmas.
• Style shelves, tables, and feature areas to create an inspiring and cohesive shopping experience.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance store presentation and seasonal storytelling.

Merchandise Management:
• Execute merchandise processing, including unpacking, sorting, and organizing décor items.
• Ensure displays are fully stocked, styled, and maintained throughout the day.
• Maintain accurate pricing and signage on all products.
• Handle décor items with care to prevent damage and maintain quality presentation.
• Flex between tasks such as styling, stocking, pricing, and replenishment based on business needs.

Store Operations:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Assist with seasonal resets, including moving fixtures and setting up displays.
• Support general store upkeep, including light maintenance and organization.
• Use basic tools for display setup and signage installation.

Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with managers, leads, and team members to execute creative direction.
• Collaborate on large seasonal setups and promotional displays.
• Support peers across departments as needed during peak seasons.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

Education & Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience in retail, home décor, visual merchandising, or design preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong eye for design, color, texture, and visual balance.
• Creativity and passion for home décor, styling, and seasonal design.
• Ability to create visually appealing and commercially effective displays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful and adaptable with a willingness to take initiative.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day).
• Frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and moving items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to handle décor items, fixtures, and seasonal product safely.

Technical Proficiency:
• Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Familiarity with basic tools such as box cutters, staple guns, and display setup tools.

Work Context
• Requires interaction with customers, peers, and supervisors in person and electronically.
• Fast-paced, creative retail environment with seasonal deadlines.
• May involve working with fragile or high-end merchandise.

Regular Attendance and Punctuality:
Dependable attendance is crucial for this role to ensure team and customer satisfaction.
