As the Home & Garden Team Lead, you are responsible for bringing the store to life. This role blends leadership, creativity, merchandising, and buying to create visually compelling spaces that drive sales and elevate the customer experience. You will oversee product presentation, lead seasonal transitions, and guide the team in delivering both everyday excellence and standout visual displays.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and inspire team members across home décor and garden categories
  • Set daily priorities and ensure execution of merchandising and customer service standards
  • Train team members on product knowledge, selling techniques, and display execution

Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation

  • Design and execute visually compelling displays across the store
  • Create seasonal and holiday transitions (Spring, Summer, Fall, Christmas)
  • Ensure all displays are fresh, inspiring, and aligned with the Farmer John’s brand
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual consistency throughout the store

Buying & Product Management

  • Partner in product selection and purchasing decisions
  • Analyze sales trends and customer demand to guide buying decisions
  • Manage inventory flow, product placement, and merchandising strategies
  • Ensure pricing accuracy and product availability

Custom Design & Arrangements

  • Create custom arrangements including tropical, artificial, and seasonal décor
  • Assist customers with personalized design solutions for home and outdoor spaces
  • Develop unique, high-end presentations that differentiate the store

Store Planning & Space Optimization

  • Plan and execute floor layouts to maximize sales and customer flow
  • Continuously evaluate and adjust floor space based on product performance

Work Schedule & Availability Expectations

  • All team members must maintain availability for shifts scheduled within operating hours: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM on Sundays, with a strong emphasis on evenings, weekends, and high-volume seasonal periods.
