What You'll Do
  • Provide Nurturing Care and Safety: Create a nurturing and safe environment for infants, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Utilize Provided Curriculum: Utilize curriculum and classroom resources to enhance learning experiences for infants.
  • Lead Engaging Activities: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote learning and exploration.
  • Collaborate with Supportive Staff: Work alongside friendly and supportive staff members who are committed to creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress.
  • Student assessments: Conduct developmental screenings, thoughtful observations, documentation and individualized planning.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children in a daycare or childcare setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood care and childhood development
  • Understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
  • Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
  • Ability to create a structured and engaging classroom environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move around actively throughout the day
  • CPR & First Aid certified, STARS 30-hour training (or willingness to complete upon hire) , WA background check & fingerprinting, TB test, MMR vaccine, Bloodborne Pathogens & Safe Sleep training, and WA Food Handler’s Permit required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including classroom setup and cleanup
  • Full-time position: must be able to work flexible hours as needed
