About the Role
Join a dynamic Security Operations Center (SOC) team as an Information Security Analyst - I, supporting enterprise-level customers in a critical 24x7 environment. Be the first line of defense, monitoring and responding to security incidents with industry-leading tools and processes. This is a home-based full-time role ideal for early-career professionals eager to build expertise and advance in cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time security monitoring using advanced SIEM and cybersecurity tools to detect and escalate incidents.
  • Analyze and triage security events, identifying Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and determining severity.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, querying raw logs and offering guidance on SOC infrastructure and SIEM best practices.
  • Draft clear escalation tickets and contribute to SOC knowledge base updates.
  • Collaborate with Tier II/III analysts on critical incident response actions.
  • Uphold service level agreements by prioritizing and escalating alerts effectively.
  • Participate in continuous learning and process improvement within the SOC.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a security-related or technical troubleshooting role.
  • Solid grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals and threat landscape.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude with proactive engagement.

Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience as an Information Security Analyst.
  • Knowledge of threat hunting and incident response best practices.
  • Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and scripting (Python, Powershell, Bash, Java, Ansible).
  • Experience with forensic analysis, device/network troubleshooting, and IPS alert analysis.
  • Industry certifications (SANS GIAC, GCIH, Security+, CCNP-Security, CySA+, GCED, CEH).
