AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. We are in search of an Operations Delivery Advisor II or Operations Delivery Advisor III to join our Application Services department in Spokane, Washington. This full-time position reports to the Director, Systems Administration and is primarily accountable for enabling reliable, secure, and scalable software and application delivery. The Operations Delivery Advisor collaborates with delivery, project and technical development teams, architects, third-party service providers, business leaders and end users to manage the delivery pipeline from development to production, ensuring systems are automated, observable, and resilient, while enabling product teams to deliver changes safely and frequently.
Compensation Information
The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:
Level II:
Typical starting range: $80,000 - $110,100
Full base salary range: $80,000 - $142,000
Annual performance-based incentive target is 12 or 15% of base.
Level III:
Typical starting range: $99,900 - $138,500
Full base salary range: $99,900 - $173,500
Annual performance-based incentive target is 18% of base.
*Relocation assistance will be provided to eligible candidates who must relocate to accept this position.
Essential Duties
  • Technology Strategy & Governance
    • Define and execute the software and application strategy aligned to delivery, platform, and business outcomes.
    • Translate business and product priorities into a practical DevOps and platform roadmap.
    • Establish engineering standards and quality practices and contribute to technical governance where required.
    • Communicate technical strategies, trade-offs, and risks clearly to business and leadership stakeholders.
    • Ensure appropriate documentation exists for pipelines, platforms, and operational processes.
    • Inform budgets, platform costs, and vendor relationships related to Application Delivery, DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
  • DevOps & Delivery Enablement
    • Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment frequency, reliability, and lead time for change.
    • Drive automation across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure to reduce manual effort and improve release quality.
    • Enable cross-functional teams to streamline delivery workflows and improve end-to-end product release capability.
    • Partner with technological partners to lead DevOps decisions and ensure conformity with AgWest process and procedures.
  • Platform Operations, Performance & Continuous Improvement
    • Own system reliability, availability, and performance in production.
    • Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability standards.
    • Define and track DevOps KPIs (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements
  • AgWest employees may occasionally be asked to travel for all-staff or team meetings not included in the standard travel requirements for the role.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Generally, requires three to five years' DevOps, System Engineering, or Cloud Operations experience
  • Ability to lead large, complex projects, initiatives and programs involving executive stakeholders across multiple business disciplines and third parties, without direct supervisory authority.
  • Strong Expertise in CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of continuous engineering or other agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing continuous engineering or other agile methodologies to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity
  • Experience building technology roadmaps and aligning with business strategy
  • Experience working with managed service providers and vendor partners
  • Financial institution operations experience
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience driving DevOps adoption across multiple teams
