Job description

Due to growth and expansion, we are seeking a Survey Engineer to work on our water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on self-performed concrete work, site work, and underground utility installation. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience helping manage field crews, All local work (no travel). Ideal candidate will have experience with both surveying and project layout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain primary control points throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with project mobilization and site setup.
  • Support job site cleanliness and safety initiatives.
  • Help monitor quality control and maintain as-built drawings.
  • Assist in field coordination of subcontractors.
  • Receive and inventory materials.
  • Track timekeeping for hourly personnel.
  • Support the generation, processing and tracking of RFI's and submittals.
  • Assist with management of hourly personnel, including carpenters, foreman and laborers.
  • Participate in the SOS (Safety Observations System) program.
  • Demonstrate basic constructability knowledge, including construction terminology and plan reading.
  • Help maintain SWPPP inspections documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer in water, wastewater, and civil utility construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and project documents.
