Job description

  • Position Summary
    • Provides detailed operational and financial analysis of supply chain data in the areas of sourcing, contracting, materials distribution, pricing, and procurement. Responsible for collecting, assembling, manipulating, normalizing, and utilizing data from multiple sources and organizations for benchmarking, analysis goal/target development, and results/performance reporting. Supports and assists Purchasing and Materials managers in the development and implementation of supply chain initiatives designed to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Calculates and monitors key performance indicators as determined by management and assists in driving changes to operational and financial metrics throughout the Supply Chain.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Work Experience
      • Previous professional level experience with financial, business, purchasing, or supply chain analytics preferred.
      • Experience providing detailed inventory analysis and data mining strongly preferred.
      • Previous Healthcare experience also preferred.

    • Education
      • Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Management, Supply Chain, or related field required.
      • Master’s degree preferred.

    • Certifications/Licensure
      • None required.
  • Job Specific Performance Standards
    • The duties listed below are a summary of the major essential functions of this position. The position may require other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned, and specific functions may change from time to time.
       
      • Provides detailed operational and financial analysis of supply chain data in the areas of sourcing, contracting, materials distribution, pricing, and procurement. Builds models to support contract proposals, bids, and scenarios. Provides analysis of client spend vs. hospital and GPO contract portfolios.
      • Supports and assists Purchasing and Materials managers in the development and implementation of supply chain initiatives designed to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Performs contract proposal analysis to determine financial benefit to the system.
      • Calculates and monitors key performance indicators as determined by management and assists in driving changes to operational and financial metrics throughout the Supply Chain. Assists in developing appropriate contract/bid performance measure indicators. Assists in determining discrepancies between financial statements and Corporate Contracting prices.
      • Collects, interprets and analyzes supply data to be used in the preparation of comprehensive supply chain reports.  Formulates reasonable conclusions utilizing practical application of skills and knowledge.  Designs, collects and analyzes key supply data relative to cost and utilization trends.
