About the Role:
Mister Sparky of Myrtle Beach is looking for a skilled Standby Generator Technician to join our growing team in Conway, SC! This is your chance to work with a trusted name in the electrical industry, keeping homes and businesses powered and protected when it matters most.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair standby generators for residential and commercial customers
  • Perform routine generator inspections, load testing, and preventive maintenance services
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical generator issues
  • Coordinate with transfer switches, automatic transfer switch (ATS) systems, and electrical panels
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for each job
  • Communicate professionally with customers, explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
  • Adhere to all safety codes, regulations, and company standards on every job site
Requirements:
  • Prior experience servicing or installing standby generators (Generac, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, or similar brands preferred)
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, transfer switches, and generator controls
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle on-call responsibilities
