The AirCleanยฎ Systems Junior Web Developer will report directly to the Marketing Manager. The AirClean Systems marketing team provides marketing services for AMT Group and its affiliates. AMT Group is a management company that oversees general operation practices of four entities, including AirClean Systems. Each entity manufactures a full range of products that serve the Scientific, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Academic, Food/Beverage, Biotechnology, and Forensic market segments. The core products for each company provide for operator safety to harmful chemicals and particulate or protection of analytical samples from airborne contamination.


The Junior Web Developer will work with the marketing team to maintain AMT Groupโ€™s family of websites. Tasks include (but are not limited to) content management and updates, web application creation and modification, general site creation, updates and improvements, and database management. Being a small marketing team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while seeing your work make a direct impact on our success as a company.


JOB TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Maintaining and optimizing each of AMT Groupโ€™s web properties
  • Ensuring that accurate, elegant, and functional code and data faces the public at all times
  • Development and upkeep of custom web applications
  • Maintaining company databases
  • Staying current with best practices and current techniques in the web development field

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of professional experience in web development
  • Programming language experience (PHP and JavaScript)
  • Experience with PHP Frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with Git
  • Knowledge of SEO and web development best practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Vue.JS, Angular or React
  • Programming language experience (Python)
  • E-commerce maintenance or development
  • Content Management System maintenance or development
  • Experience with Linux is a plus
  • Experience working with multiple brands at a time
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Trello)
  • Knowledge of website security practices

Accountabilities

  • Public-facing websites experience little or no down-time
  • Coding and content errors are kept to a minimum without recurrence

Location

This position will be based at our Creedmoor, NC offices.

Terms of employment


This is a full-time, hourly position.

Hours


The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. The employee is expected to work forty (40) hours per week.

Work Environment


Work is regularly performed in an office environment. This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with days split between in-office and at-home. Hybrid schedules need to be approved by supervisor.

Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 pounds.

Travel

Ability to travel for professional development workshops or other training as required to maintain craft. Depending on geography, overnights and weekend travel may be necessary. Travel expected not to exceed 5% of the employees work time. Travel will be domestic.
