Job description

While this role can be performed remotely, candidates based in the Chicago or Denver areas are preferred due to proximity to key team members and periodic in-person collaboration.

The Interventional Radiology Specialist acts as the subject matter expert and clinical liaison to Interventional Radiology departments, providing product demonstrations, procedural support, workflow optimization guidance, and education to physicians, technologists, and clinical staff. This role serves as the โ€œeyes and earsโ€ of the market, identifying competitive trends, clinical needs, and growth opportunities while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Territory Manager to effectively execute sales strategies and achieve annual goals.
  • Provide advanced product knowledge and application guidance during evaluations, trials, and implementations.
  • Monitor and report competitive products, services, pricing, and market trends within the territory.
  • Assist in implementing regional marketing initiatives and campaigns within the assigned territory.
  • Identify, prospect, and recruit new customers while providing regular feedback on customer needs, product coverage gaps, and competitive intelligence.
  • Support internal teams (sales, marketing, leadership) with clinical insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Educate physicians and clinical staff on clinical applications, workflow optimization, and best practices.
  • Travel to healthcare facilities to conduct product demonstrations, in-services, clinical education sessions, and consultative solution presentations.
  • Provide on-site procedural support and clinical guidance during product evaluations and implementations, as appropriate.
  • Assess clinical workflows within Interventional Radiology departments and recommend process improvements aligned with product capabilities.
  • Support new product implementations, including clinical onboarding and staff training.
  • Troubleshoot clinical and product-related issues in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, credentialing requirements, and regulatory standards during on-site support.
  • Drive maximum customer satisfaction through responsiveness, problem-solving, and regular communication.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge and industry expertise related to Multi-Modality Imaging technologies and interventional procedures.

Relationship Management

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen customer relationships through proactive communication, consultative engagement, and consistent follow-up.
  • Act as a trusted clinical and business partner to physicians, administrators, and clinical staff.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and long-term account retention.

Travel up to 80%

Required Education and Experience

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university
    OR
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology
    OR
  • Associate of Science (AS) in Radiography

Experience

  • 2+ years of medical device sales experience
    OR
  • 2+ years of clinical support in medical device or consumables industries
    OR
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in interventional radiology, or a related medical field
  • Required Education and Experience

    Education

    • Bachelorโ€™s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university
      OR
    • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology
      OR
    • Associate of Science (AS) in Radiography

    Experience

    • 2+ years of medical device sales experience
      OR
    • 2+ years of clinical support in medical device or consumables industries
      OR
    • 2+ years of clinical experience in interventional radiology, or a related medical field

Combination of the above are strongly preferred

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience operating imaging equipment and patient positioning
  • Clinical experience in Interventional Radiology or procedural imaging environments
  • Experience selling capital equipment or imaging solutions
  • Ability to interpret clinical workflows and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Excellent presentation, education, and product demonstration skills
  • Strong organizational skills and CRM proficiency
  • High level of self-motivation and accountability in a remote work environment
  • Ability to travel frequently within assigned territory
  • Comfort working in procedural settings and interacting with physicians and clinical teams

Defined as a low level work position with oneโ€™s back upright, knees and hips flexed and buttocks adjacent to heels.ย 

Push/Pull

Associates push/pull chairs/ materials with force up to 10 lbs.

Reach

Associates have the ability to position themselves and their work materials to minimize any lifting away from body.ย 

Sit

Associates will be seated at their work station.

Stand

Associates may need to stand for up to 4 hours per day.ย 

Twisting

Associates have the ability to position themselves and their work materials to minimize any lifting.

Walk

Associate is required to walk on level surfaces with the ability to walk around cubicles.ย  Associate also walks up to 200 yards from parking lot to their work area.
