• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings for students to evaluate their mental health concerns, utilizing tools and methodologies designed for comprehensive evaluation.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the unique challenges and goals of each client, integrating evidence-based interventions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that engage clients in the therapeutic process and promote positive mental health skills, focusing on a range of mental health disorders.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including school staff, parents, and other mental health professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to the client's mental health care.

• Educate and support clients and their families, promoting understanding of mental health and active participation in their recovery and treatment journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards, ensuring the integrity of client records.

The primary focus of this role is to support school-aged children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related disorders. By utilizing culturally competent approaches, you will address the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds, creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and understood.

• A current and valid license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required, with consideration for candidates holding higher degrees.

• Demonstrated specialized training or extensive experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a school-based or educational setting.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for various mental health disorders, enabling effective client assessments and treatment.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and motivate clients throughout their recovery journey.

• A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a school or youth-based environment.

• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques relevant to children and adolescents, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or play therapy.

• A demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current with emerging trends and research in the field of mental health.
