With a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, we offer a supportive environment that prioritizes employee well-being and professional growth.

About the Organization

Three Rivers Mental Health Clinic is a reputable community health clinic located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We specialize in providing comprehensive mental health services tailored to support children and families facing developmental and intellectual challenges. Committed to improving the lives of our clients through evidence-based practices, our team of professionals ensures that each child receives personalized care aimed at maximizing their potential.

Work Environment

The role is primarily remote, which allows flexibility in scheduling and working conditions. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with our organization, you will collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, educational specialists, and healthcare providers. Our supportive culture focuses on shared learning and growth, providing employees with the tools needed to excel in their roles while contributing to community well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual in-home and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches to address emotional and behavioral issues.
  • Implement strategies aimed at mitigating high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression through anger management and coping skills training.
  • Enhance decision-making capabilities in caregivers and children to effectively manage in-home challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team to coordinate and modify treatment plans as needed, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Document all clinical interactions accurately, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with established deadlines.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and provide recommendations for treatment adjustments.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 3-20 years who have developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role requires a compassionate and skilled approach to engage effectively with not only the children but also their families, offering support in various emotional and behavioral contexts.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with flexibility for weekend sessions considered a plus.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for potential home visits.
  • A clear criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting, is a prerequisite for employment.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in providing positive behavior support, particularly to children with behavioral challenges.
  • Prior experience working with children ages 3-20, ideally with those who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools for effective remote therapy and engagement with clients.
Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, Three Rivers Mental Health Clinic provides a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

  • A dynamic and inclusive work environment.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development and ongoing training.
  • Group health insurance coverage.
  • Annual paid time off to recharge and maintain work-life balance.
  • Short and long-term disability insurance for added peace of mind.
  • A 401(k) plan to assist in your long-term financial goals.
  • A sign-on bonus for qualified bilingual therapists proficient in Spanish or Portuguese.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Three Rivers Mental Health Clinic, we are committed to the professional development of our staff. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will have access to various training programs and mentorship opportunities designed to enhance your skills, advance your career, and promote leadership within the mental health field.
