Job description

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world's best pre-K through 12th grade private schools, where approximately 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a cost-free home and a top-notch education.  Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, the school is fully endowed today, with the resources to ensure students can thrive.  The school has prepared over 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students for future generations.

The MHS Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) program impacts students as they can learn a variety of instruments and easily can explore areas of interest or passion right here on campus. They can take advantage of a wealth of expert instruction through our staff. MHS even covers the cost of instruments, equipment, and lessons! View the list of MHS programs.

The percussion instructor/assistant must demonstrate strong skills in both battery and mallet instruments. The instructor will assist with recruitment and organization of the percussion group. Duties to include weekly rehearsals including small group instruction. This is a seasonal position that runs from November through April. • Must exhibit a commitment to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment.
