Position Overview

Expedient Home Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, where you will deliver care in the comfort of patients' homes, allowing for a tailored approach to rehabilitation. You will enjoy flexible scheduling, choosing your own hours from Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their home environment to assess their physical capabilities and formulate effective treatment strategies.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, utilizing various therapeutic methods such as exercise regimens, manual therapy, and specialized equipment.
  • Implement treatment sessions that may include stretching, strengthening exercises, and mobility training, all tailored to alleviate pain and enhance functionality.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously to ensure therapeutic goals are being met and adjustments are made as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment modalities and self-care strategies to enhance their independence and understanding of their health conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy practices through continuing education and participate in workshops and professional development sessions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist will encompass working with a diverse patient population, including children and adults recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic illnesses. You will be instrumental in enhancing their mobility and quality of life by applying personalized therapeutic interventions in a familiar home setting that fosters confidence and comfort.

Qualifications
  • Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is required.
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and explain complex information.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
  • A commitment to continual learning and adapting best practices in physical therapy care.
Preferred Experience
