Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist with Expedient Home Physical Therapy, you will work onsite in a welcoming outpatient office located in Carteret, New Jersey. This position allows for a flexible work schedule, typically Monday through Friday, enabling you to choose hours that best fit your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess the needs of patients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic illness within a home care environment.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that include a diverse range of therapeutic interventions such as exercise, manual therapy techniques, and the use of specialized equipment.
  • Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to meet evolving therapeutic goals.
  • Assist patients in the use of assistive devices, providing training to both patients and their caregivers to ensure safety and efficacy in treatment.
  • Conduct educational sessions for patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding the appropriate techniques and modalities involved in physical therapy.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements by attending workshops and participating in professional organizations to facilitate ongoing learning and development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population that includes children, adults, and seniors. This role requires you to empathize with and motivate patients facing various challenges related to injury recovery, rehabilitation from surgery, pain management, and enhancing mobility to improve daily functioning.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Current state license to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive attitude toward patient engagement and treatment adjustments.
Preferred Experience
