Job description

At The Learning Spectrum, we believe every child can grow with the right support. Our teams collaborate across ABA and therapies to build communication, social skills, and confidenceโ€”at school and beyond. If youโ€™re mission-driven, team-oriented, and growth-minded, youโ€™ll feel at home here.ย 

As a Music Therapist at The Learning Spectrum (TLS), youโ€™ll use the power of music to support emotional regulation, communication, and behavioral growth in children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays. Youโ€™ll design individualized interventions rooted in both music therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help each learner reach meaningful milestones.

What Youโ€™ll Need

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program

  • Active certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)

  • Ohio license in Music Therapy

  • At least two years of experience supporting children in behavioral, clinical, or educational settings

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families

  • Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Develop and implement evidence-based music therapy sessions tailored to each clientโ€™s goals

  • Integrate behavioral and therapeutic strategies to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth

  • Collaborate with BCBAs, educators, and caregivers to ensure coordinated, client-centered treatment

  • Uphold AMTA ethical standards and maintain active certification and continuing education requirements
