Job description
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Assistant Construction Manager to support the renovation and rehabilitation of residential investment properties. This role combines project coordination, contractor management, property maintenance, and hands-on repair work. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in both office and field environments.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Construction Management
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of residential renovation projects.
Schedule and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and service providers.
Monitor project timelines and help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
Communicate project updates to management and identify potential delays or issues.
Contractor & Vendor Management
Coordinate contractor schedules, verify work completion, and ensure work meets quality expectations.
Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Property Maintenance & Repairs
Perform a variety of handyman-type tasks, including basic repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and punch-list items.
Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general property maintenance.
Identify maintenance issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Ensure properties are clean, secure, and ready for contractors, inspections, or sale.
