Territory: Pierce County

Compensation:$22 - 28/ hour + Mileage Reimbursement.

Type: Part time/Full Time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, schedule flexible based on hours and availability.

Summary

Provides quality, supportive care to assigned clients in their place of residence, according to the established plan of care under the instruction and supervision of a registered nurse. Assists clients toward optimal independence by providing personal care, light housekeeping and specific delegated nursing tasks.

Work Performed

  • Makes home visits to provide or assist with personal hygiene including shampooing hair, grooming, bathing, shaving, dressing, mouth care, nail care as instructed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Performance of simple procedures as assigned by the registered nurse;
  • Personal care;
  • b) Ambulation and exercise;
  • c) Household services essential to health care at home;
  • d) Assistance with medications that are ordinarily self-administered;
  • e) Reporting changes in the patient's condition and needs.
  • Completing appropriate records the day of service.
  • Communicate effectively with patient, family members, caregivers and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Preferred 1-2 years experience in a health care setting such as home health, skilled nursing facilities or alike.
  • Currently certified as a Nursing Assistant in Washington State.
  • Possesses and maintains CPR/BLS certification.
  • Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Capable of considerable reaching, stooping bending, kneeling, and/or crouching. Possesses visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
