Marshall Care Rehab and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote, full-time team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that account for each patientโ€™s medical history and current health conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive treatment plans focused on addressing psychiatric disorders as well as co-existing medical issues.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to each clientโ€™s unique needs. Examples might include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Engage in regular consultations with medical providers to ensure a unified approach to patient care, leading to optimum treatment outcomes.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing best practices to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Educate clients about the intricate connections between mental health and physical health, empowering them to manage their overall well-being effectively.
  • Maintain precise and confidential client records in line with state and federal regulations, as well as ethical standards set by our organization.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and care planning, contributing insights from your therapeutic practice.
  • Continuously pursue ongoing education and remain well-informed about advancements in integrated mental health care therapies and practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing complex challenges, particularly those with co-occurring conditions such as anxiety and chronic illnesses, or depression and substance use disorders. We aim to serve an inclusive community, helping individuals navigate various life transitions and societal pressures while prioritizing their mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or LMFT in New York State.
  • Demonstrated experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with clients and collaboration with health professionals.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adherence to ethical guidelines while ensuring client confidentiality.
