Job description

VCA Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine Team.
We are seeking experienced veterinary technicians who demonstrate dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong focus on patient care. Ideal candidates will possess solid technical skills along with genuine compassion for animals. About the Role
As an experienced Veterinary Assistant, we want you to use your skills and knowledge to the fullest. Skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
  • Compassionate patient care
  • Maintenance of Internal Medicine Equipment
  • Client education and care
  • Hospitalization/ICU care
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory sample collection and diagnostic testing
  • Venipuncture, catheterization
  • Pharmacy
  • Medical record keeping

Schedule: Full-time (4) 10 hr shifts
Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 / hr is based on skill set, and experience.

VCA Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists was established in West Palm Beach in 1998 and has flourished from a single-specialty practice into a full-service, multi-disciplinary, specialty-only practice.
We operate within a 32,000 sq. ft. facility, 24/7/365, which includes an in-house national reference laboratory, blood bank, and Education Center with a 125-seat auditorium and a conference room that provides continuing education programs to our staff and the local veterinary community. Our Advanced Imaging department offers on-site MRI, CT, C-Arm and Linear Accelerator (Halcyon).
We are proud that our team of board-certified specialists includes three Surgeons, three Internists, an Emergency and Critical Care Service, a Neurosurgeon, a Radiation Oncologist, and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. Our doctors work closely with our nurses and technical staff to provide optimal patient care, careful client service, and open dialogue with referring veterinarians.
